GOAL: The Conrads wanted to bring the most ecological value possible to this large slope of their recently purchased home in north Asheville. They wanted to do this while also creating a beautiful space that was low-maintenance and could be enjoyed by their neighbors on this very pedestrian-heavy corner lot.
CHALLENGE: When the Conrads contacted us, this hot south-facing slope was covered in invasive vines, old plastic weed retention and yellow jackets. All of this needed to be removed and it took some work over a several month period.
RESULT: We removed all these unwanted obstacles on the slope and in the summer of 2023, we planted a native meadow that is currently supporting native pollinators and thrilling the pedestrians of this north Asheville neighborhood.
